Nature Walk to focus on Trees
Hannibal Parks & Recreation and Missouri Department of Conservation are offering a series of Nature Walks in Riverview Park this spring.
The first Nature Walk is 10 a.m. March 24. Participants will meet at the entrance to the River Road Trail.
David Vance, resource forester, will lead a group on an easy hike down the paved River Road Trail and will tell participants about the different species of trees in Hannibal’s Riverview Park. The 103-year-old park with 465 acres of forested land is on the National Register for Historic Places.
Participants must sign up for the event by calling the Hannibal Parks & Recreation office at 221-0154 or by emailing mlrichards@hannibal-mo.gov.
