Pedal Power
10 a.m. to noon Feb. 10 at Admiral Coontz Recreation Center
Bring your Big Wheel, tricycle, or other pedal-powered vehicle and cruise the Recreation Center! Bicycles are allowed, but they must have training wheels.
Interactive Play activities will also be available

  • Winter Bounce Fest 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Jan. 13 at Admiral Coontz Recreation Center, $5 for unlimited bouncing. Mr. Wizard’s Bouncing Castles will have 7 bounce houses, there will be food and beverages from the Mark Twain Dinette, sweets from the Kupcakes Bakery and Music, Lights and Video by the Mobile Entertainer.
  • A Man and his Prostate 7:30 p.m. Jan. 13 at Hannibal High School auditorium. It's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to catch one of TV’s greatest comics Ed Asner on stage right here in Hannibal. Based on the true story of a man who discovers his inner self (in more ways than one!) Sponsored by Bluff City Theater. Tickets available here. 
  • Wing Ding Jan. 20 at Admiral Coontz Recreation Center starting at 11 a.m. sponsored by Hannibal Jaycees.
  • National Wild Turkey Federation Banquet and Calling Contest Saturday, Jan. 27 at Admiral Coontz Recreation Center. Calling contest at 10 a.m., banquet at 5:30 p.m. Contact Eddie Bogue, 573-795-3241 or or email for more information.
  • Trivia Night to benefit Hannibal History Museum, starts at 7 p.m. Feb. 2 at Finn’s Food & Spirits, 214 N. Main St. Ten rounds of general trivia questions (not just history!), winning team will win $100 Cash.   • Annual Hannibal Chamber of Commerce meeting and banquet 6 p.m. Jan. 27 at The Rialto, 601 Broadway. Annual awards, including New Business of the Year, Civic Contributor, Community Betterment, and Pacesetter will be presented. Call (573) 221-1101 to reserve space.
  • Bud/Bud Light 35th Annual Chili Cookoff Feb. 17 at Admiral Coontz Recreation Center. Opens to the public at 11 a.m.
  • Trivia Night to benefit Mark Twain Boyhood Home & Museum, starting at 7 p.m. Feb. 24 at Finn’s Food & Spirits, 214 N. Main St. This year’s trivia event will help support the restoration of the Pilaster House/Grant’s Drugstore. Trivia teams consist of up to 10 players per and compete in 10 different categories with 10 questions each. To register your team, donate items to the silent auction or sponsor a round of trivia for $100, contact Melissa at 573-221-9010 ext. 404.
Help us honor our veterans!
There are more than 5,000 names on the war memorial in Central Park. We need help to restore the plaques and make it easier to read the names of soldiers from World War I and II. Print out this brochure to find out how you can help!
Indoor Archery Wednesdays
Practice your archery skills at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center 6:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesdays through Feb. 21. Bring your own bow and arrow, under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
