ALL FIELDS ARE NO LONGER AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC DUE TO THE RENOVATIONS OF THE CLEMENS FIELD SITE. Clemens Field is located next to the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center in historic downtown Hannibal. Its address is 401 Warren Barrett Drive. Clemens Field was built in 1937 and 1938 as part of a Works Project Administration (WPA) project during the depression. It now houses 3 ball fields: Ragland Field (320', 350', 320'), Conley Field (217', 253', 230') and Harding Field (150', 145', 120').
The complex is surrounded by hand cut stone walls, and boasts a magnificent covered grandstand which seats 750 - 1000 people comfortably. The grandstand has 18 rows of concrete bleachers. The St. Louis Browns and Cardinals had minor league teams here, named the Hannibal Pilots, until the late 1940’s. It is an inviting stadium with old time character and great history.
HPR maintains the infields late March/April through October. Ragland and Conley have scoreboards and concession stands with restrooms. Harding and Conley have lights. Ragland has a grandstand. Harding and Conley have bleacher seating. All have limited parking. There is an asphalt walking track inside from Conley to Ragland grandstand. It is ~0.20 miles. Continue outside along the sidewalk, around to Conley, and the total circuit is ~0.35 miles. 3 laps = 1 mile. Field Rentals and Reservations Due to the Clemens Field renovation project (CICL Baseball coming to Hannibal in 2009) there will be no rentals or usage on any of the fields in the CLemens Field Area (Conley, Harding and Ragland)
