Mysterious Moths Night Hikes – July 24th
DATE AND TIME
07/24/2020 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Join us for a Mysterious Moths Night Hike through Sodalis Nature Preserve on Friday, July 24th at 8PM.
Gale Rublee, nature educator, said, moths are prevalent at this time of year and often found at Sodalis, which is appropriate since bats prey on moths.
Night Hikes are scheduled on the second and fourth Fridays of the month (weather permitting) about a half hour before sunset. The full program lasts about two hours and follows a 2-mile paved trail. Participants are welcome to stay with the group or return to the parking lot on their own. Activities include seasonal observations, sensory activities and the telling of the creation of Sodalis Nature Preserve.
There will be a strict limit of 20 participants and reservations must be made by calling Hannibal Parks & Recreation at 221-0154 or by emailing [email protected].

Scavenger Hunts
The Hannibal Parks & Recreation Department has developed Scavenger Hunts to encourage visitors to the Hannibal parks. Hannibal children, along with visitors to Hannibal, will have a chance to explore our parks in a different way. These free activities allow participants to learn more about Hannibal Parks and to earn a free treat from a local business in the process!
Here are the scavenger hunts available so far (check back for future additions).
