Night Hike through Sodalis Nature Preserve

Not only do birds begin migrating in August but so do the bats that overwinter in the Lime Kiln Mine at Sodalis. We’ll see if the number of bats we see at some of the mine openings has increased since the summer. The full program is about two hours and covers a 2-mile paved loop with a steep incline. Participants have the option to return sooner as desired. Register online. Nature programs are free thanks to the generosity of Hannibal BASF.

Scavenger Hunts
The Hannibal Parks & Recreation Department has developed Scavenger Hunts to encourage visitors to the Hannibal parks. Hannibal children, along with visitors to Hannibal, will have a chance to explore our parks in a different way. These free activities allow participants to learn more about Hannibal Parks and to earn a free treat from a local business in the process!
