Rec Center closed for DARE Halloween setup
The Admiral Coontz Recreation Center will be closed to recreational activities from Oct. 24 to Nov. 1 due to setup for the DARE Halloween Party. The Hannibal Police Department sponsors the Halloween Party, which is 5:30-8:30 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31. The Recreation Center will reopen to the public at 7:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 2.

There have been Senior Adult Dances at the Rec Center on Tuesdays for almost 50 years. Currently the band for the Senior Dances, called Uptown Strings, consists of Martin and Betty Miller, Harlon Lain, Wendell Glance and Greg Cornelius. Special guests often join the band. The dances are noon to 3 p.m. Tuesdays.

Drop In Pickleball
Drop-In Pickleball allows players to “drop in” and play games. Courts will be designated for competitive, intermediate and leisure players. Four players start on a court; when a game is complete, the winners will remain on the court and separate. The losers will go to the bench. Two new players from the bench will join…
