Macy Behrens, a freshman at the University of Missouri-Columbia, has been named the last Summer Spotlight Employee of the Week at the Ronny Ferrel Hannibal Aquatic Center for the 2025 summer season. The last day of the pool is Sunday, Aug. 17.

Hannibal Parks & Recreation pays tribute to employees at the Ronny Ferrel Aquatic Center with a special award each week.

This is Macy’s first year working at the pool, she is a front desk/concessions/slide attendant. She said she loves interacting with the children at the facility. Her favorite song to hear on the pool deck is “Greedy” by Tate McRae and her favorite concession stand treat is a hot dog.

Emily Hultgren, aquatics director, said, “Macy approaches every task with confidence, efficiency, and a can-do attitude, consistently delivering high-quality results without hesitation. No matter the challenge, Macy remains calm, focused, and dependable — a true example of reliability in the workplace. She greets every patron with a warm smile and genuine friendliness, creating a welcoming environment that reflects positively on our entire organization. Macy’s positive energy, professionalism, and dedication to her role make her an invaluable asset to our team. We’re lucky to have someone who not only excels in her responsibilities but also lifts the spirits of everyone around her.”
