Starting Thursday, March 19, all city buildings will be closed to the public for 30 days, as an abundance of caution and to protect the public.

All facilities will remain open to city employees who will report to work, but buildings will not be open for public access. All essential services will continue, such as fire and police protection as well as electric, water and sewer services and street and park repair and maintenance.

Both the main Board of Public Works office at 3 Industrial Drive and City Hall, 320 Broadway, have secure drop boxes where payments can be delivered.

The HBPW offers multiple ways to access account information on the website:  www.hannibalbpw.org/departments/customer-service/pay-your-bill/.

Payments will continue to be processed on a regular basis.  Customers will continue to receive regular and delinquent billing statements in order to allow customers to apply for any type of utility assistance.

All late fees will be waived, there will be no disconnects for late payments.

Board of Public Works office staff and field crews will still work normal hours. In a continued effort to protect the health and well-being of both customers and staff, no BPW employee will enter a residence or business unless there is a true emergency.

Building Permit requests are available by calling City Hall and talking to the Building Inspector.

The Hannibal Police Department will continue to offer lobby assistance 24 hours a day at the police station, 777 Broadway. Staff will accept municipal court payments at the police station as the Municipal Court is temporarily closed.

Hannibal Municipal Airport will remain open for incoming and outgoing flights.
