To mark the week of Veterans Day, Hannibal Parks & Recreation is honoring Admiral Robert Edward Coontz who was the second Chief of Naval Operations for the U.S. Navy.

The celebration will be 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center.

The American Legion Post 55 will give a color guard presentation and history of Admiral Coontz. Cake will be served after the ceremony.
