There are two opportunities to see extreme athletes demonstrate death-defying tricks this weekend at the Ramp Park at Huckleberry Park.

  • 8 p.m. Friday, July 26, local athletes will be rehearsing their tricks on skateboards, scooters and bicycles, before the Movie in the Park Star Wars IV: A New Hope.
  • 2 p.m. Saturday, July 27, professional athletes Tyler Peterson and Nicky Matveev on skateboards and Grant Meisenheimer and Hunter Wright on BMX bikes, will give a demonstration.

ShredFest will be at the Ramp Park at Huckleberry Park Saturday. The Ramp Park will open at 10 a.m. and there will be free entry into the park all day. Mark Twain Dinette will have a food and beverage truck in the park as well. Registration for skateboard, scooter and bike competitions begin at noon. Competitions start at 1 p.m.

The Ramp Park is open noon to dark every day, feel free to video or photograph the athletes before the demos as well.
