Peak fall foliage in Hannibal is coming up, the perfect chance to enjoy the changing colors in Riverview Park.
There will be a family nature program called Fall Foliage Fun at 1 p.m. Sunday Oct. 26 in Riverview Park.
The nature programs are sponsored by BASF and lead by Hannibal Parks & Recreation nature interpreter Gale Rublee along with members of the Mississippi Hills Master Naturalists.
The program will begin at the shelter next to the playground in Riverview Park. Rublee said, “Riverview Park offers some of the best autumn leaf color around especially with all the maple trees. Let’s go on a nature walk, collecting the most beautiful leaves we can find while learning more about why they change color. We’ll make something with the colorful leaves to take home. “
Nature programs are free but registration required at: www.hannibalparks.recdesk.com/Community/Program
