A Fun with Fungi nature program will be 10 a.m. Nov. 13 in Riverview Park, sponsored by Hannibal Parks & Recreation.

Participants should meet at Shelter No. 2, which is the shelter nearest the first overlook in Riverview Park. The hike will be partly off-trail. The emphasis will be on finding fungi and learning something about identification and the diversity of mushroom species.

Gale Rublee, Hannibal Parks & Recreation interpreter guide, will lead the nature program. She has more than 25 years of experience as a nature educator. She is a founding member of the Mississippi Hills Master Naturalists chapter in Hannibal and is coordinator and teacher for the Bluff City Theater Youth Education in Theater Initiative.

The nature programs are free but reservations must be made by calling Hannibal Parks & Recreation at 221-0154 or emailing mlrichards@hannibal-mo.gov.
