Youngsters will be out on Saturday participating in a service project that will benefit all of Hannibal.
About 100 students in grades 6-12 will be picking trash around Hannibal starting at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 7. The students are from Clover Road Christian Church and Calvary Baptist Church.
About 45 of the students will first be taking inventory at the Toys for Tots warehouse and the rest of the students will be divided into three groups and will take part in cleaning up litter.
Bags and support will be provided by Hannibal Parks & Recreation. Sites for trash pickup will include:
- Mark Twain Avenue
- Grand Avenue
- Huckleberry Park
- South Main Street
Ashley Yoder, children’s minister from Clover Road Christian Church, said it’s the 13th year for the service projects.
