Sunday, May 26 is Honor Roll Day at the Aquatic Center. Students going into fourth grade through high school can bring a report card showing a B average and get free admission.

Gale Rublee, nature educator, will lead the hike. She has previously been a naturalist and teacher at Shaw Nature Reserve in St. Louis and has been a storyteller and actor. She is the coordinator and teacher for the Bluff City Theater Youth Education Theater Initiative.
The Night Hike is free but reservations must be made by calling Hannibal Parks & Recreation at 221-0154 or emailing

Happy Birthday to Admiral Coontz!
Noon June 12 at Admiral Coontz Recreation Center
Robert Edward Coontz (June 11, 1864 – January 26, 1935) was an admiral in the United States Navy, who sailed with the Great White Fleet and served as the second Chief of Naval Operations. American Legion Post 55 will give a color guard presentation and history of Admiral Coontz. The Senior Adult Dances will begin after the presentation and will end at 3 p.m.
“Pinocchio” in the Park
8:30 p.m. June 14 at Huckleberry Park, sponsored by Beta Sigma Phi sorority.
As part of Hannibal’s Bicentennial celebration, the event honors Cliff Edwards, who was born June 14, 1895, in Hannibal, and provided the voice for Jiminy Cricket in “Pinocchio.”
In honor of Edwards, “Happy Birthday” will be sung, accompanied by his signature instrument, the ukulele.
Veterans Memorial and Freedom Bell
Help us honor the veterans
The Veterans Memorial and Freedom Bell
will be located in Cardiff HIll Overlook, surrounded by memorial bricks with the names of veterans. Honor veterans by purchasing a brick for $125.
The
Adopt A Bench
program is designed to allow Hannibal residents and visitors to support Hannibal Parks by having a bench installed along the Hannibal riverfront. Participants can use the program to remember a loved one, celebrate a joyous occasion or promote a business or organization. Participation in this program includes the purchase and installation of the bench, as well as a memorial plaque. 
The riverfront will feature benches on the sidewalk promenade along the riverfront.
