Hannibal Arts Council and Hannibal Parks & Recreation are teaming up to offer a unique and inspiring workshop designed for art lovers and nature enthusiasts alike.
The Nature Art Journaling Workshop will take place 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, May 10 at Hannibal Arts Council, 105 S. Main St., providing participants with a chance to connect with the outdoors while expressing their creativity through art.
In this hands-on workshop, attendees will explore the beauty of nature through the medium of art journaling. Led by HAC program coordinator and arts educator Beth Hinton and HPR nature educator and interpreter Gale Rublee, the event will guide participants through techniques in sketching, painting, and writing, all while drawing inspiration from the natural surroundings at Hannibal’s parks at the riverfront.
The workshop is open to adults and youth (ages 13 and older) of all skill levels, from beginners to advanced artists. All necessary materials, including journals, sketching supplies, and paint, will be provided. Participants are encouraged to bring their own personal touch, whether it’s a favorite pencil or special paintbrush.
Pre-registration is required at www.natureartjournaling.eventbrite.com, call (573)221-6545, or stop in at 105 S. Main St.
