Hannibal Parks & Recreation is offering a free nature program from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday April 14 in Riverview Park.

The program is called “Sensing Spring.”

Gale Rublee will lead the program. She said, “With all our senses let’s explore what’s popping, hopping, and singing. From buds to flowers and leaves, from bugs to birds to reptiles and amphibians —what’s going on? How did the plants and animals survive the winter and what’s their purpose now? “

Rublee has been a nature educator for more than 25 years. She has lead nature interpretive programs at Shaw Nature Reserve, Camp Wyman, the Living Well Village and at Gardner Camp in Hull, Ill. She is in the Master Ecologist program and Master Naturalist program in Missouri.

Group size is limited and reservations must be made by calling 573-221-0154 or emailing mlrichards@hannibal-mo.gov.
