Saturday, Oct. 30 is the last day of the Central Park Farmers Market for the 2021 season. Market hours are 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Steve Huse, market manager, said the vendors have been pleased with the turnout of customers this year. “We have had a lot of new vendors and a lot of new products available this year. It has been important for customers to shop local.”

Also Saturday, Hannibal Parks & Recreation is hosting the seventh annual Pumpkins in the Park — a pumpkin-decorating contest and exhibit. From 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. the pumpkins will be on display and will be judged by spectators.

Participants are being asked to bring pumpkins to Central Park from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Oct. 30 and can retrieve their pumpkins at noon. Pumpkins can be decorated with paint, glitter, markers, etc., but cannot be carved. Photos of the pumpkins will be posted on the Hannibal Parks Facebook page and the pumpkin with the most likes will earn Facebook Favorite. Prizes are donated by SC Contact Centers and Hannibal Parks & Recreation.
