  • Sign up for the Twain Tracks Walking Challenge at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center any time! More information available at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, when a representative for the walking challenge will be at the Rec Center.

The Stream Team Spring Cleanup will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 27, at the Y Men’s Pavilion but volunteers can pick up trash all over Hannibal.

The 1819 Stream Team is providing gloves and trash bags. Hannibal Parks & Recreation and Hannibal Area Chamber of Commerce are cosponsoring the event. T-shirts, breakfast and coffee will be provided 9 a.m. to noon at the Y’Men’s Pavilion, 105 Hill St.

There will be employees from Board of Public Works driving around during the cleanup to pick up the bags of trash so the volunteers don’t have to bring them back to the Dumpster at the Y’Men’s Pavilion.

Anyone who can’t participate in Saturday’s cleanup but would like to organize a litter pickup for an organization or group at another time can contact Andrea Campbell, acampbell@hannibalbpw.org, 573-221-8050 ext 6043.

Participants are encouraged to use the hashtag #TrashtagHannibal200 in social media posts to show off their work.
