Hannibal Parks & Recreation will sponsor a nature program about astronomy at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center.

The program “Stars and Star Life” will be presented by Dr. Robert Sadler, professor of Physical Science at Culver-Stockton College. He will present a multimedia talk about stars and the birth, death and life cycle of stars in our galaxy.  Topics will include the night sky, the constellations and stellar asterisms and the nature of stars during stages of their lifetime. Attendees will be given a star map and suggestions for locating constellation asterisms and bright stars in the November sky at the latitude of Hannibal. Weather permitting, a sky viewing session will be held after the talk.
