The first Summer Spotlight Employee of the Week has been named at the Ronny Ferrel Hannibal Aquatic Center. Neveah Boling has been working as a lifeguard for five years.
Hannibal Parks & Recreation is paying tribute to employees at the Aquatic Center this summer with a special award each week.
Neveah is a sophomore at Moberly Area Community College, where she plays on the softball team. She said the most rewarding part of the job is “getting to see the funny little kids.”
Her favorite song to hear on the lifeguard stand is “Party 4 U” by Charli XCX or anything by The Weeknd. Her favorite concession stand treats are the new Rice Krispie treats and a hot dog.
Emily Hultgren, aquatics director, said, “Nevaeh is an outstanding lifeguard who demonstrates unwavering focus and vigilance while on duty. She is consistently aware of everything happening in and around the water, ensuring the safety of all swimmers. In addition to her exceptional lifeguarding skills, Nevaeh is fantastic with children and stands out as one of our top swim lesson instructors. Her ability to connect with young swimmers while teaching them critical water safety skills makes her an invaluable member of our team.”
The Summer Spotlight Employee receives prizes from Tom Boland Ford, Coffee Barn, Java Jive and Families and Communities Together.
