Healthy for Life program sponsors Twain Tracks walking challenge

Hannibal, Mo. (October 7, 2019) – Do you need relief from arthritis pain or just want to become more active?

For residents of Marion and Ralls County who answer yes to this question or are interested in Staying Healthy for Life, the Healthy for Life program of A. T. Still University (ATSU) in partnership with Hannibal Parks & Recreation, will be hosting a walking challenge to begin on Monday, Nov. 11 at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center at 9 a.m. Pedometers will be furnished or you may use your favorite fitness app. to ensure all your steps count.

This challenge will teach you how to safely make physical activity part of your everyday life.  Exercise is key to part of a healthy lifestyle.  It’s a proven way to manage pain, improve mood, and help you move easier.
