HPR offers many programs and recreational opportunities. We strive to offer activities for all ages, all levels of ability and a variety of interests. We want to promote healthy, active lifestyles. Call 573-221-0154 for details. Or, submit a request for information HERE.

Toddler Tuesdays
Every Tuesday from 9-11AM (may be canceled due to special events)
Admiral Coontz Recreation Center
For children up to 5 years old
Young children will be able to use the gym without colliding with basketball players
Imagination Playground building blocks will be brought into the gymnasium
There are also coloring books, puzzles, balls and games
This is not a babysitting service - each adult is allowed to bring no more than four children and must sign in with the attendant

Clemens Field Medium Pitch Wiffle Ball League
Tuesday Nights (start date/times will be determined once all teams have been submitted)
Clemens Field (403 Warren Barrett Dr)
 $300 per team - Limit of 8 teams
Minimum for 7 players per team (no max)
Adult (18 & Up) Co-Ed League (no restrictions on gender division)

Summer Camp
Session 2 (Gone Fishin' - Ages 8-12): July 17-21, 2017 (M-Fri) - 10AM-12PM (Registration Deadline July 7th)
Includes exploring along the river and acting out some big fish tales
Each session is $49 per child

Summer Solstice Creek Walk
Wednesday, June 21, 2017 - 10AM-Noon
Meet at the start of Bear Creek walkway, off of South Main Street
Wear shoes that can get wet and walk on rocks with
Bring water and a small bucket
For ages 5 & Up - 5-8 year olds must be accompanied by an adult
Guided by nature educator, Gale Rublee
Free, but there is a limit of 15 participants

Night Hike through Sodalis Nature Preserve
Friday, June 23, 2017 - 7:30-9:30PM
Meet at the parking lot of Sodalis Nature Preserve, where we will hike up to the bat caves, exploring nature signs along the way.  Pause for a story at the top, then return in the dark with sensory awareness activities.
The hike will be on paved pathes - about 2 miles
Guided by nature educator, Gale Rublee

Cardboard Boat Races

Scavenger Hunts
The Hannibal Parks & Recreation Department has developed Scavenger Hunts to encourage visitors to the HPR sites
These free activities allow participants to learn more about Hannibal Parks and to earn a free treat from a local business in the process!
