Cardiff Hill Overlook Park

Cardiff Hill Overlook Park is located at 505 N. 3rd Street. It is the site of the old bridge approach. This 1 acre lighted park has picnic tables and benches nestled among tree lined sidewalks and flower beds. The Mississippi Hills Master Naturalists built Becky’s Garden as a place for a native plant habitat for pollinators and other wildlife and a place of beauty and respite for visitors and residents of Hannibal.

The steps to the Lighthouse pass through here as well. Enjoy the scenic view of the Mississippi River at the top of the walkway.

Cardiff Hill Overlook Park cannot be reserved – it is available on a first come, first serve basis.

The Veterans Memorial includes a pathway with bricks that honor veterans from all branches of service, living or deceased. Bricks can be purchased through Hannibal Parks & Recreation, for more information call city hall (573) 221-0154.

The bell from the U.S.S. Hannibal is displayed at the top of the memorial. The U.S.S. Hannibal ship was built in 1898 and used in Spanish-American War, World Wars I and II. The ship was decommissioned in 1944 and the U.S. Navy sent the bell to the city of Hannibal.
