Magnificent Migrations along the Mississippi

DATE AND TIME

03/07/2021 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

“Magnificent Migrations along the Mississippi” will be held from 1-2 p.m. on Sunday, March 7th (re-scheduled from February) at the Hannibal Regional Airport. Hannibal residents are in a unique position to observe many of the migrating birds in the great Mississippi River Flyway. More than 325 bird species make the round trip from breeding grounds in Canada and the northern U.S. to wintering grounds along the Gulf of Mexico and in Central and South America, according to the National Audubon Society.

Hannibal Parks & Recreation nature programs are free but space is limited and reservations are required by calling Hannibal Parks & Recreation at 221-0154 or emailing mlrichards@hannibal-mo.gov. Masks will be required when inside the building.

Scavenger Hunts

The Hannibal Parks & Recreation Department has developed Scavenger Hunts to encourage visitors to the Hannibal parks. Hannibal children, along with visitors to Hannibal, will have a chance to explore our parks in a different way. These free activities allow participants to learn more about Hannibal Parks and to earn a free treat from a local business in the process!

Here are the scavenger hunts available so far (check back for future additions).
