Due to inclement weather in the forecast, Hannibal Parks & Recreation is rescheduling the Starry Night stargazing event to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 6. The location has been changed to Riverview Park.

The free program will give nature enthusiasts the chance to identify constellations and star clusters with the help of nature educator Gale Rublee. There will be some telescopes available but participants are encouraged to bring binoculars and telescope if available. Chairs and blankets are suggested.

Rublee has previously been a naturalist and teacher at Shaw Nature Reserve in St. Louis and has been a storyteller and actor. She is the coordinator and teacher for the Bluff City Theater Youth Education Theater Initiative.
