Saturday, Oct. 28 is the last day of the Central Park Farmers Market for the 2023 season. Market hours are 7:30 a.m. to noon Saturday.
Steve Huse, market manager, said the vendors have been pleased with the turnout of customers this year. Central Park Farmers Market will begin in 2024 on April 27. At that time, vendors will again be eligible to take SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits for payment, through a program with Douglass Community Services.
Located in the heart of Hannibal, in the city’s oldest park, the market plays a vital role as a community gathering place that offers the very best products from the area. The market offers consumers healthy, yet affordable, alternatives to the typical supermarket experience. About 35 vendors participate in the Farmers Market each week.
