The Admiral Coontz Recreation Center will be closed to recreational activities from Oct. 24 to Nov. 1 due to setup for the DARE Halloween Party. The Hannibal Police Department sponsors the Halloween Party, which is 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 31.
On Nov. 2 the Recreation Center will be used for the WORTHY (Workforce Opportunities Rallying Today’s Hometown Youth) event for area eighth-graders. It is sponsored by Douglass Community Services and Hannibal Parks & Recreation.
The Recreation Center will reopen to the public at 7:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 3 and is open until 1 p.m.
The Admiral Coontz Recreation has a walking track (12 laps equal 1 mile) and two basketball courts. The Play Without Boundaries room is open during regular operating hours. Pickleball courts are available for use.
