Fall Festival of Country Music
6-9 p.m. Sept. 14 At Admiral Coontz Recreation Center
Music will be performed by Memory Lane, including Betty and Martin Miller, Harlon Lain, Wendell Glance, Virgil Watts, Greg Cornelius along with special guests Sue Taylor, Shirley Cornelius and others.
Free but donations will be accepted for the band. Food and drink concessions will be available.

Write a letter to the future!
Submit a letter for the 2069 time capsule.
The letter can be to yourself, the residents of Hannibal or to a loved one. Letters should be submitted in an unsealed envelope and received by 5 p.m. Oct. 18. Send letters to Hannibal Parks & Recreation, 2069 Time Capsule, 320 Broadway, Hannibal, Mo. 63401 or bring into City Hall. The time capsule will be closed in a ceremony at Central Park Oct. 26. Gale Rublee, nature educator, will lead the hike. She has previously been a naturalist and teacher at Shaw Nature Reserve in St. Louis and has been a storyteller and actor. She is the coordinator and teacher for the Bluff City Theater Youth Education Theater Initiative.

The
Adopt A Bench
program is designed to allow Hannibal residents and visitors to support Hannibal Parks by having a bench installed along the Hannibal riverfront. Participants can use the program to remember a loved one, celebrate a joyous occasion or promote a business or organization. Participation in this program includes the purchase and installation of the bench, as well as a memorial plaque.
The riverfront will feature benches on the sidewalk promenade along the riverfront.

- Paws for a Cause 9 a.m. Sept. 21 at the Health Way Trail at Hannibal Regional Healthcare System. $20 per person and $10 per dog. Each person receives a shirt and each dog receives a commemorative dog toy. Everyone participating will also have the opportunity for a free professional photograph with their buddy.
