There will be 12 trees planted at 9 a.m. Friday, April 22 near Huckleberry Park, at 30th Street and Starlight Ridge.
The trees will be planted in cooperation with the Tree Board, the Hannibal Street Department and the Hannibal Parks & Recreation Department.
Kristy Trevathan, president of the Tree Board said the following types of trees will be planted: white oak, holborn bean and serviceberry.
The trees were donated by the Forest Releaf program of Missouri. The program is designed to increase the tree canopy in low-income areas, restore and sustain urban forests, promote nature and enrich communities.
